CANDIDATE STATEMENT

As a fourth-generation Petaluman, my roots run deep. For over 150 years, my family has worked to grow, preserve and contribute to our town. Now, it would be my honor to serve as your Councilmember. 

With a background in clean energy distribution, process engineering, and community leadership, I’m committed to preserving Petaluma’s unique history and quality of life.

I am concerned about the proposed rezoning of our historic downtown to allow 6-7-story buildings, potentially higher with future State legislation. What Petaluma has is special and rare for any city: an entire historic downtown experience. Our city needs sensible planning policies informed by robust public input, paired with strong architectural guidelines. We can protect our historic resources while allowing for sustainable growth and workforce housing.

Traffic solutions must be shaped by resident input, not forced changes such as D Street that compromise resident access and safety.

Petaluma can build a more resilient economy by proactively attracting quality companies and high-paying career opportunities. Our city was built by hard work and industry—this is what will help us thrive.
